Former Hootie & the Blowfish Frontman Darius Rucker ‘Only Wants to Be’ at The Lion King

Darius Rucker and his band Hootie & the Blowfish created the sound of the '90s. Since then, Rucker has launched a successful solo career in country music. On July 12, the musician took in Disney’s long-running musical The Lion King, which boasts Elton John and Tim Rice’s hit songs “The Circle of Life,” “Can’t You Feel The Love Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata.” After the curtain came down at the Minskoff Theatre, Rucker made his way backstage to take a photo surrounded by some of The Lion King’s fabulous feathered costumes.
